This privacy policy applies to all versions of our service, including:
All platform versions use the same technical infrastructure and process the same data according to this privacy policy. No additional permissions or data are collected by the Android app or PWA beyond what is described here.
The following overview shows what user data is shared with third parties and for what purpose:
| Data Type | Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Stripe, Inc. | Payment processing, invoices, receipts |
| Chat messages | OpenAI, LLC | AI support responses |
| Deposit screenshots | Azure / Google Cloud Vision | OCR text extraction (temporary) |
| IP address (HTTP headers) | Vercel Inc. | Website hosting, CDN (technically required) |
We do NOT sell, rent, or share any user data for marketing, advertising, or profiling purposes. User data is shared exclusively for the technical and operational purposes described in this privacy policy.
We only collect data that is necessary for the operation of the website and the provision of our services. Below is a summary of all data we collect:
Used for language detection, regional content delivery, rate limiting, and fraud prevention.
Retention: Not permanently stored for general use; up to 24h for rate limiting
Registration requires NO personal data — no email, no name, no phone number, no address. Only: username (auto-generated), password (stored as cryptographic hash only, never in plain text), creation date, and account credits. A session token is generated on each login to enforce our single-device policy.
Retention: Until account deletion
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email address, display name, and profile picture via Google OAuth 2.0. Your Google account ID is used to link your account. We do NOT receive your Google password. The data is used exclusively for authentication and displaying your profile. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Google: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Retention: Until account deletion; Google tokens are not stored
Only if you purchase a VIP Pass via Stripe: your email address is collected by Stripe during checkout for transaction processing, receipt delivery, and invoice generation. We also receive and temporarily store the email as part of the purchase confirmation to activate your VIP Pass. This email is NOT linked to your user account and is used exclusively for payment-related purposes.
Retention: Purchase metadata including email: 90 days (auto-deleted). Full payment data: managed exclusively by Stripe.
When purchasing a VIP Pass via Stripe, sensitive payment information (credit card numbers, SEPA data, billing address) is collected and processed EXCLUSIVELY by Stripe in their PCI-DSS Level 1 certified environment. We NEVER see, receive, or store your full payment card data. We only store minimal purchase metadata (transaction ID, amount, currency, email, billing name) for VIP Pass activation and invoice reference — this data is used exclusively for payment processing and invoice generation, never for marketing, profiling, or any other purpose.
Retention: Purchase metadata: 90 days (auto-deleted). Full payment data: never stored by us, managed exclusively by Stripe.
If you upload a deposit screenshot for VIP Pass verification, the image is processed via OCR (optical character recognition) to extract amount and date. A cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of the image is stored for duplicate detection.
Retention: Image is not stored permanently; hash stored for fraud prevention
Messages you send in the in-app support chat are transmitted to OpenAI for processing. The chat is used for VIP verification and general support.
Retention: Not permanently stored by us; OpenAI processing per their data policy
We process your data on the following legal bases under the GDPR:
We use technically necessary cookies and local storage. Additionally, we use Google Ads tracking cookies, which are only loaded after explicit consent via our cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG).
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Type | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| euir_user_id | Session identification after login — assigns server-side session to authenticated user | 30 days | First-party, HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| euir_session | Single-device enforcement — ensures only one active session per account to prevent account sharing | 30 days | First-party, HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| euir_device_id | Anonymous device identifier for registration rate limiting (max. 3 per 24h) and fraud prevention | 1 year | First-party, HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| geo-country | Country code (e.g. "DE") derived from IP geolocation for language and content adaptation | 1 hour | First-party, SameSite=Lax | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| euir_user_email | Stores the user's email address (Google OAuth users only) server-side for VIP Pass assignment and Stripe payment matching — never exposed to client-side JavaScript | 30 days | First-party, HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| NEXT_LOCALE | Stores active language locale ("de" or "en") for consistent language display across page navigation | 1 year | First-party, SameSite=Lax | § 25(2) TDDDG |
Our website uses a Service Worker (sw.js) as a Progressive Web App (PWA). The Service Worker stores only technically necessary data locally on your device to make the app load faster and provide basic offline functionality. No personal data is stored in the Service Worker cache.
| Technology | Purpose | Data Stored | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cache Storage | Caching of static assets (logo, icons, CSS, JS) and visited pages for faster loading and offline display | HTML pages, images, CSS/JS files — same-origin only (no third-party data). No personal data. | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| Push Notifications | Optional push notifications about new analyses or insights (only after explicit user consent via the browser dialog) | Push subscription endpoint (generated by browser). No personal data. | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR |
| Periodic Sync | Periodic refresh of cached page content in the background (every 12 hours, only when permitted by browser) | No additional data — only refreshes existing cache entries | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| Background Sync | Retry of failed network requests when connection is restored | Temporary URL and method of failed request in IndexedDB — deleted after successful delivery | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| Offline Page | Display of a local offline page when no internet connection is available | Static HTML file (offline.html) — contains no personal data | § 25(2) TDDDG |
Your Control: You can delete the Service Worker and all cached data at any time: In your browser under Settings → Site Data → sportbetting-ai.tips → Remove Service Worker. Alternatively: In browser DevTools under Application → Service Workers → Unregister. Push notifications can be disabled at any time in your browser settings.
| Key | Purpose | Duration | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| injury_radar_account | Stores your anonymous user ID locally for auto-login convenience | Until manual deletion | § 25(2) TDDDG |
| weekly-combos-cache-v1 | Cache for weekly combination tips for performance optimization. Contains no personal data. | Until manual deletion | § 25(2) TDDDG |
We do NOT use: Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, retargeting pixels, fingerprinting, or any similar third-party analytics tools. Exception: Google Ads conversion tracking is used after explicit consent via our cookie consent banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Cookie Consent Banner: We use a cookie consent banner that obtains explicit consent before loading Google Ads tracking cookies. Technically necessary cookies are loaded without consent (§ 25(2) TDDDG). Google Ads cookies are only activated after consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent can be revoked at any time by clearing browser storage.
Legal classification per § 25 TDDDG: All cookies, local storage entries, and cache storage data listed above fall under § 25(2) TDDDG — they are strictly necessary for providing the service requested by the user: (1) euir_user_id / euir_session: Authentication and session management are required for accessing VIP features. (2) euir_user_email: Server-side email storage for Google OAuth users is required for VIP Pass assignment and payment matching (HttpOnly — never accessible to client-side scripts). (3) euir_device_id: Fraud prevention and rate-limiting are necessary for security. (4) geo-country: Content adaptation to the user's country is a core feature. (5) NEXT_LOCALE: Language persistence is essential for bilingual service delivery. (6) injury_radar_account: Convenience login avoids repeated authentication. (7) weekly-combos-cache-v1: Performance cache for weekly combination tips — contains no personal data. (8) Service Worker Cache (sportbetting-ai-v7): Offline capability and faster load times via caching static resources — contains no personal data. None of these storage mechanisms serve marketing, profiling, or cross-site tracking purposes. This transparent listing fulfills the information obligation per Art. 13 DSGVO.
